Coastal flooding, showers on Halloween night in Bay Area forecast
Low-lying parts of the Bay Area could see tidal flooding again on Halloween, with minor coastal flooding possible through Sunday due to high tides and surge. The National Weather Service extended a coastal flood advisory for the Pacific coast and San Francisco, San Pablo and Monterey Bays through 6 p.m. Sunday, with up to 1.9 feet of inundation possible. Rain may spread from the Central Coast into the Bay Area later Saturday, bringing light rain or drizzle for trick-or-treaters and cooler highs in the 50s to 60s. Southern Marin County has had flooded roads and stranded drivers since Monday; officials urge avoiding flooded areas.
